Apple Pay is Now Available in the Philippines!

iPhone Users Can NOW Pay with Just Their Phones in the Philippines!

Philippines — For years, local Apple enthusiasts have watched enviously as travelers double-clicked their iPhones or casually waved their Apple Watches to pay for coffee and groceries abroad. Well, the wait is officially over! Apple Pay has officially rolled out in the Philippines, bringing a fresh, ultra-convenient wave of tap-to-pay magic right to our pockets.

Major financial institutions and payment networks—including participating banks like UnionBank, Metrobank, Chinabank, and GoTyme, alongside major networks like Visa—are supporting the rollout. Whether you’re grabbing a morning iced latte, picking up midnight snacks, or shopping online, your favorite Apple devices are about to become your favorite checkout partners.

No more digging through your bag for a physical card or fumbling with cash. Just double-click, authenticate with Face ID or Touch ID, and tap!

How to Add Your Cards to Apple Wallet

Getting started takes less than a minute. Here is how you can link your eligible credit or debit cards and leave the leather wallet at home:

  • Open the Wallet App: Locate and open the pre-installed Wallet app on your iPhone.

  • Tap the Plus Icon: Hit the “+” button located at the top-right corner of the screen.

  • Choose Your Card Type: Select Debit or Credit Card and tap Continue.

  • Scan or Type: Use your iPhone’s camera to capture your card details, or enter them manually if you prefer.

  • Verify Your Card: Follow the on-screen prompts to verify your card (typically through a quick SMS code or a quick call from your bank).

  • You’re All Set! Once approved, your card will pop up in your Apple Wallet, ready for action.

Tip: If you use an Apple Watch, open the Watch app on your phone, head to “Wallet & Apple Pay,” and tap “Add Card” next to your eligible cards to sync them right to your wrist!
