Makati City, Philippines — On August 16, 2026, the Orchestra of the Filipino Youth takes the stage at The Proscenium Theater in Rockwell, Makati City, for a major fundraising concert titled “Music for a Regenerative Future.” Under the baton of renowned music director Maestro Gerard Salonga, this performance brings together classical artistic excellence and a collective call for environmental sustainability.
The Repertoire
The evening’s repertoire centers on humanity’s deep connection with the natural environment and the urgent necessity of ecological balance. Audiences will experience George Gershwin’s iconic Rhapsody in Blue, featuring 16-year-old pianist Daniel Asis as the featured soloist, alongside Ludwig van Beethoven’s expressive Symphony No. 6 in F Major ("Pastoral"). Together, these masterworks highlight both the brilliance of young Filipino artistry and a shared commitment to a sustainable future.
